General Accessibility Guidelines & Features

The following general guidelines and feature descriptions will enhance the accessibility of your visit to the Marriott web site.

Question: Does the Marriott web site use javascript?

Solution:  The site uses javascript. For maximum access to the web site and all its features, it is recommended that javascript be enabled in your browser.

Question: What is the easiest way to navigate the Marriott web site?

Solution:  The Marriott web pages feature a top navigation bar with a link to a site map. The site map is keyboard accessible and contains links that make it easy to get directly to any part of the website.

Question: As a low vision user, what are my screen magnification options?

Solution:  Whether using the Zoom features in your browser or third party screen magnification software, guests can magnify the web site pages easily and all graphics, images and text display clearly.

Question: What are my color and contrast options?

Solution:  The Marriott web site uses a high contrast color scheme, making it visually appealing for all guests and specifically for guests with low vision. Guests also can apply individual style sheets and custom colors to the site.

Question: What is the ideal screen resolution for the Marriott web site?

Solution:  The preferred screen resolution to view the web site is 1024 x 768 or higher.

Question: I am a screen reader user, are all the important graphics labeled?

Solution:  Meaningful images have "alt" attributes describing the image or its function. Decorative images have a "null" alt attribute so as not to slow the browsing experience for guests using screen reading software.

Question: Are the forms on the web site fully accessible?

Solution:  Form controls, including edit boxes, drop down lists, radio buttons and check boxes are keyboard accessible and are properly labeled to work with assistive technology.
